Planning, Action and Transformation
At an early age I became aware that food can have an impact on health because my sibling had Type 1 diabetes. I learned how quickly an unhealthy food choice could have ill effects. During my brother's teen years my mother met with a registered dietitian and felt so much better about her ability to manage his diabetes. And at that point, a spark of a career interest was ignited.
I have had rich work experiences, many of which were in behavioral health, that helped me understand the effect of food on mood and behavior and the effect of mood and behavior on food intake. Most often I work to help people adjust their food intake to prevent or diminish the effect of chronic medical conditions.
I believe in a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. I love my work!
